Welcome to WAM! Launched in 2003, WAM (Women Advancing Microfinance) is the only global network of and for the advancement of individual women in the microfinance industry.
Mission
The mission of WAM International is to advance and support women working in microfinance and microenterprise development through education and training, by promoting leadership opportunities, and by increasing visibility of women's participation and talent while maintaining a work/life balance.
Vision
WAM International will become recognized worldwide as a leading organization that has great impact and offers needed leadership-building and professional development services (networking, education, and training) to women in the microfinance and microenterprise industries.

WAM New York Event"Conversations with Thought Leaders"
Women Advancing Microfinance - New York (WAM-NY) warmly invites you to "Conversations with Thought Leaders" featuring Paul Quintero, CEO, Accion USA. This is one of our signature events-an evening of learning, networking over drinks and conversation with a thought leader in the microfinance industry in a one-to-one setting.
Join us to hear and learn about how microfinance is helping businesses in the after-math of Sandy, get back on their feet and be back in business again. ACCION USA, is helping victims (through loans from $1,000 to $25,000 for businesses) affected by Superstorm Sandy in New York City. ACCION is a global nonprofit dedicated to creating economic opportunity by connecting people to the financial tools they need to improve their lives.
